Description

Ibuprofen is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is commonly used to relieve pain, reduce fever, and reduce inflammation. It is often used to treat conditions such as headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, and arthritis. The medication works by blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body that causes pain and inflammation.

Ibuprofen is available in a variety of forms, including tablets, capsules, and liquid suspensions. It is typically taken orally and can be taken with or without food. The recommended dosage varies depending on the individual's weight, age, and the condition being treated. It is important to always follow the instructions on the product label and not exceed the recommended dose.

In addition to relieving pain and reducing fever, ibuprofen has been shown to improve the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. However, like all medications, ibuprofen may cause side effects and may interact with other drugs. It is important to talk to a doctor before taking ibuprofen if you have a history of heart disease, liver or kidney problems, or are taking other medications.

Overall, ibuprofen is a safe and effective pain reliever for most people. With proper use, it can provide fast and long-lasting relief from a variety of aches and pains.

Directions

Adults, the elderly, and adolescents between 12 and 18 years of age should take 1 or 2 tablets with water, up to three times a day as needed. It is important to leave at least four hours between doses and not to exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours. Ibuprofen should not be given to children under 12 years of age. For specific dosing instructions and duration of use, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

Each Ibuprofen 200mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Ibuprofen 200mg. Additional components include lactose monohydrate, maize starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycollate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, purified talc, titanium dioxide (E171), carnauba wax, coloring agents (sunset yellow lake (E110), erythrosine lake (E127), sodium benzoate (E211), hydrochloric acid (E507)).

Side Effects

While Ibuprofen provides effective relief, some individuals may experience side effects. Common side effects include indigestion, heartburn, stomach pain, headaches, and skin reactions. Serious side effects, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, severe skin reactions, kidney problems, and signs of aseptic meningitis, require immediate medical attention. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms.

Warnings

Certain groups of people should exercise caution when using Ibuprofen, including those with asthma, kidney, heart, liver, or bowel problems, as well as smokers and pregnant/breastfeeding individuals. Special care is needed for those with infections, and interactions with other medications should be considered. Always seek medical advice before combining Ibuprofen with other drugs.
