MEDICATION DETAILS

Description

Differin Gel 0.1% (adapalene) is a topical retinoid formulated to help treat and prevent acne. The 50g gel is designed for regular use on acne-prone skin and helps keep pores clear while supporting a more even, smoother-looking complexion.

Differin contains adapalene 0.1%, which works inside the hair follicles where acne develops. It helps regulate the process of skin-cell turnover and reduces the tendency of dead skin cells to build up and clog pores. By helping prevent clogged pores from forming, adapalene can reduce the development of new blackheads, whiteheads, and inflammatory acne lesions.

With consistent use, Differin can help improve the overall appearance of acne-prone skin. Results may take several weeks, and continued use is generally needed to maintain improvement.

Directions

Apply a thin layer of Differin 0.1% Gel to clean, dry, acne affected skin once daily in the evening, avoiding the eyes, lips, and other sensitive areas, and wash your hands after application.

Ingredients

Adapalene 0.1% w/w (active ingredient), carbomer 940, propylene glycol (E1520), poloxamer 182, disodium edetate, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E218), phenoxyethanol, sodium hydroxide, and purified water.

Side Effects

Differin 0.1% Gel may cause dry skin, skin irritation, burning or stinging, redness, peeling, itching, skin discomfort, sunburn, and local skin reactions. Rarely, allergic reactions, swelling, skin discolouration, or application-site burns may occur. Seek urgent medical attention if you experience facial or throat swelling, difficulty breathing, hives, or severe dizziness.
