Rightangled joins PwC trade mission to Shanghai

Healthcare challenges differ from region to region, but health strategies around the world share a common aim: delivering the best possible quality of care to the greatest number of people at sustainable cost.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) operates one of the largest healthcare advisory networks, working with policymakers, payers, providers and health sciences organisations. PwC UK's China Business Group, part of its Emerging Markets initiative, supports companies from China looking to expand into the UK, Eurozone and Africa, and British companies seeking to develop operations in China.

The delegation

PwC UK's China Business Group organised a trade mission to Shanghai connecting health-oriented businesses in the UK and China. The delegation brought together Rightangled and four other digital health scale-ups from the UK and EU, with the aim of understanding the Chinese market, meeting potential customers and accessing local industry expertise through PwC's Shanghai office.

What it involved

Working with the China Business Group, the team identified strategic targets and received briefings on local market conditions and routes to operation. The mission included meetings with corporate offices, hospitals and key stakeholders, alongside PwC representatives and alumni of previous China programmes.

Rightangled presented its DNA testing service and discussed the outlook for genetic testing in health with healthcare professionals in the region.
